Liege Syrup Truffle

£0.00

If you haven't heard of Liege Syrup before, well nor had we until a couple of weeks ago! It is a Belgian spread made by cooking apples and pears for around 10 hours, which caramelises the sugar and gives it a spreadable texture. It is often eaten on pancakes or waffles, with cheese, or even in a few meat dishes. Oddly, given that it is Belgian, it doesn't seem to be used in chocolates.... until now. Our May limited edition truffle, in honour of our recent holiday in Belgium, is a 55% dark chocolate shell, decorated with the colours of the Belgian flag, and containing a ganache made with more dark chocolate and of course Liege Syrup. This recipe is vegan.
